  • Reaction following Stan Wawrinka's straight sets win over Andy Murray at the ATP Tour Finals in London on Friday (20th November).

SOUNDBITE (English) Stan Wawrinka, defeated Andy Murray:

"I'm really happy it is always a tough challenge to play Andy, he's been playing so well and is number two in the world, he's playing at home so I'm happy in general. It was a very important win for me."

SOUNDBITE (English) Stan Wawrinka, defeated Andy Murray (asked about his backhand):

"I was moving well and felt a little more relaxed. I started to push him. I was feeling the ball and moving well so that's important for me. Again, Andy is playing amazing. It's never easy to play against him. He had a chance to come back at 5-5 in the second but I'm really happy to be back in the semi-finals."

SOUNDBITE (English) Stan Wawrinka, defeated Andy Murray (asked about facing Roger Federer):

"It will be a tough one for sure. First I will have to recover from tonight. It was a two hour match and it will be late by the time I get back so not too much time to get ready but we'll see. I'm playing well, he's playing well. It will be a tough challenge but I hope I can play a good match."

SOUNDBITE (English) Andy Murray, Lost to Stan Wawrinka:

"I wanted to try and win the tournament so obviously you try right until the end. It wasn't enough."

SOUNDBITE (English) Andy Murray, Lost to Stan Wawrinka:

"To be honest I made too many errors. It was tough. I couldn't quite get the balance. When I was going for my shot I felt like I was making errors. At 4-2 I believe I gave a cheap point away, I missed a forehand on the first ball of the rally, it was a fairly basic shot. Two second serve returns on my backhand. Way too many errors. And cheap ones as well. It's disappointing."
