Murray knocked out of World Finals

Saturday, November 21 2015 by SNTV
  • British number one Andy Murray loses a winner-takes-all ATP World Tour Finals group match against Stan Wawrinka at the O2 in London.

This was a straight shoot-out. The winner of Stan Wawrinka and Andy Murray would progress to the last four of the ATP World Tour Finals, the loser would be out.

With so much riding on it, it's no surprise the first set went to a tie-break...

Murray led that 4-2 but then lost five points in a row, so it was Wawrinka's set.

The Swiss continued the momentum and broke Murray's serve in the very next game.

He broke again to open up a 5-2 lead.

Murray did come back to 4-5 and Wawrinka even had to save another two break points. But there was not to be a heroic comeback for the British number one in London.

Wawrinka took his second match point to set up an all-Swiss semi-final against Roger Federer.
