  • Adam Scott has a share of the lead at eight-under with Peter Wilson after the second round of the Australian Masters in Melbourne on Friday (20th November).

Scoring conditions were nearly perfect as the second round of the Australian Masters got underway at the Huntingdale Golf Club.

Talented American amateur Bryson Dechambeau finished with an impressive round of one-under 70.

DeChambeau's compatriot George McNeill played the shot of the day when he hit a high approach from the fairway bunker on the ninth hole that bounced twice before dropping into the bottom of the cup for an eagle. McNeill carded a five-under 66.

Australia's Mathew Guyatt impressed with rounds of 69 and 66. He is outright second at seven-under for the tournament.

Peter Wilson finished with a second consecutive round of 67 and would end at eight under 134.

Wilson is tied for the lead with compatriot Adam Scott - the 2012 US Masters champion.

Scott is chasing a world record this week - a win will make him the first player to win atleast one tournament for fifteen consecutive years, beating Tiger Woods' record of fourteen years.

A double bogey on the tenth and a wayward tee shot on the 13th put him on eight under for a while.

Scott bounced back with a a birdie on the 14th to move back to nine-under but ended with a bogey on the 18th for a round of 70.
