  • England trained ahead of their fourth ODI against Pakistan and wicket-keeper Jos Buttler spoke about selection.

The Dubai International Cricket Stadium is the setting for the fourth and final One-Day International between England and Pakistan.
Coach Trevor Bayliss watched the final training session ahead of the day-night match.

With England leading the series 2-1, evidence of a new balance to the one-day side has become all the more apparent in recent months.

The tourists seen over the line in Sharjah thanks to a match-winning partnership of 117 by James Taylor and Jos Buttler - Buttler hitting his highest score on the tour with 49 and says he's glad the management have kept faith in him.

SOUNDBITE (English) Jos Buttler, England (on being supported by the team):

"It's huge to get the support of the captain and all the team really, all the support staff, within the group everyone's been really supportive which means a lot. It can be a tough time, for me it's making it the simpler the better. I made it a harder game in my head than it needs to be made, it's a very simple game made complicated."

It was a timely innings for Buttler who will surely have one eye on this winter's upcoming series in South Africa after the test squad was announced on Thursday.
After struggling with the bat in the series defeat to Pakistan one person who won't be there is Ian Bell.
And despite being 33, Buttler says he expects Bell to play for England again.

SOUNDBITE (English) Jos Buttler, England (on Ian Bell being dropped from the squad for the South Africa tour):

"It does, that's the harsh reality of international cricket. It is a performance job and I know because I've been recently dropped as well and if you're not performing then that's the way it goes. It's very tough. But Ian (Bell) is a class player and he has been over a long period for England. I read he's determined to win his place back which shows great professionalism and what a great player he is, so I'm sure he will."

A win for England in Dubai will ensure the margin of victory in the series is stretched out to 3-1 in the UAE
