BIZARRE! Hair-raising Murray trims fringe during Nadal loss

Thursday, November 19 2015 by SNTV
  • World number two Andy Murray chose to trim his hair during a change over in the opening set of his loss to Rafael Nadal at the ATP World Tour finals in London.

Andy Murray is a cut above the rest, but during his ATP World Tour Finals match against Rafael Nadal he got himself into quite a hairy situation.

Trailing 2-1 in the opening set, after throwing away an early break, an agitated Murray decided to trim his fringe during the change over.

If he was hoping it would get his game back on track, it didn't have the desired effect.

He went on to lose the first set 6-4, before capitulating - Nadal taking the second 6-1.

SOUNDBITE: Andy Murray, lost 6-4, 6-1 to Rafael Nadal

"He obviously played better here today than he did when I played him earlier in the year. Also I didn't help myself out there today. I served an extremely low percentage, maybe the lowest I've served all year."

His hair cut short and now his tournament may be too - that is unless he beats Swiss Stan Wawrinka convincingly on Friday and other results go his way.
