  • Sebastien Ogier leads despite difficult conditions on the final day of the World Rally Championship season in Brenig, Wales on Sunday (15th November).

Drivers endured testing conditions on te final day of the World Rally Championship season in Wales on Sunday.

Dani Sordo started the day with the chance to move into fourt place - and he did so, with a little help from Ott Tanak, who was forced to retire following a crash.

The damage to his Ford Fiesta RS was too severe to complete the rest of the day's racing.

Andreas Mikkelsen and Kris Meeke, on the other hand, both avoided too much danger in the earlier stages.

But it was world champions Sebastien Ogier who prevailed on the sodden forest track - and he did enough to maintain his lead at the head of the standings.

The Frenchman looks set to end the season on a high - he has a 27.9-second advantage over Kris Meeke in second, with VW Mikkelsen 17.4 seconds further back in third.
