'Dream come true' for Shanghai Masters champ Broberg

Monday, November 16 2015 by SNTV
  • Reaction from winner Kristoffer Broberg plus runner-up Patrick Reed and those tied for third at the BMW Masters in Shanghai, China after Broberg beat Reed at the first play-off hole on Sunday (15th November).

SOUNDBITE (English) Kristoffer Broberg, winner, 17-under:

"A lot. It is a dream come true. I have worked so hard all my life for this. I am just so happy right now. No words. I am just happy."

SOUNDBITE (English) Kristoffer Broberg, winner, 17-under:

"Yeah. Now I can buy a new car maybe. I played good all week. And my caddy John has been really, really good since he started so I am just happy."

SOUNDBITE(English) Patrick Reed, runner up, 17-under:

"I played great. Going into today - I knew I had to go and shoot a low number and I had two mud balls. One on eight - I kind of hooked it left. I missed a short putt. On 17 I hit a good iron shot. I thought I hit a good chip. I hit a perfect putt and it didn't go in. Unfortunately I let the putts short on 18 and fortunately in the play off let a bunker shot short that I didn't think was possible. It is what it is. Of course, we are not happy or pleased with the result but at the end of the day if you would have told me that I would have come over and finish second - I wouldn't have even teed it up and I would have just taken it and left. It was a solid week and I just have to build on it and I have to do things a little better to get in the winner circle."
