Bjerregaard cards second consecutive 66 to lead in Shanghai

  • Reaction from leader Lucas Bjerregaard plus Ian Poulter and Sergio Garcia after the second day of the BMW Masters at the Lake Malaren Golf Club in Shanghai, China, on Friday (13th November).

    SOUNDBITE (English) Sergio Garcia, 9-under:

"Definitely much tougher. Still feel like I left at least three or four shots out there. it was obviously difficult if you didn't hit the right shot at the right time - you could pay. And I did a couple of times. But I made a really nice par on 17 and a great four on the last that was playing really difficult so I would have loved it to have been a little bit better. It feels like it should have been a little bit better but it is what it is."

    SOUNDBITE (English) Thongchai Jaidee, 9-under:

"Apparently when we were on the back nine, I think the game plan, the wind is a lot different today. You have to know the wind direction. It's very tough today. You can see that the scores are not really, really low. They are completely different from yesterday. I hit the ball perfectly. No complaints. We hit 17th green and I had to lay-up on 18 because you have to do that anyway. It was still pretty good - 9-under. Two more rounds. Look forward to the next round anyway."

    SOUNDBITE (English) Ian Poulter, 8-under:

"I played nicely. Continuing my form from last week. I hit lots of greens in regulation and felt like I was leaving a lot of chances out there. I started to take a few chance sin the last couple of days. And I have played some solid golf. On reflection, three bogeys today which - two were with wedges in hand which is a little frustrating. But apart from that I am in position and I feel pretty good."

    SOUNDBITE (English) Lucas Bjerregaard, 12-under:

"It was a great round. I finished up with some good birdies coming in. I made a great birdie there on six. Tough par three today. So a couple of good birdies coming in. Nothing much really happened on the first nine (holes). Just played really solid - I thought it was a good bit tougher than yesterday with the wind up. Some of the players were playing really long. But I made some good putts and made some good par saves to keep the round going. So that was nice."
