Pakistan to avoid repeat of 2012 mistakes

Wednesday, November 11 2015 by SNTV
  • Pakistan conduct a training session in Abu Dhabi on the eve of their four-match one-day international (ODI) series against England (10th November).

Fresh from their 2-0 Test series win, Pakistan take on England again in the first of four one-day internationals at the Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi, UAE on Wednesday (11th November).

Azhar Ali captains the side and has already indicated that one successful tactic from the long form of the game will be brought with them into the 50-over format.

Azhar has admitted that the hosts will be looking to score as heavily as they can against England's inexperienced spin duo Moeen Ali and Adil Rashid,.

Pakistan's all-time record run scorer in Tests, Younis Khan, has been brought back into the limited overs side.

The veteran right-hander, who turns 38 at the end of the month, will take part in his 265th ODI, but is still regarded as one of the fittest members of the squad.

Pakistan will be hoping that there won't be a repeat what happened in England's last tour of the Emirates.

In 2012, they won the Test series- 3-0 on that occasion - but then went on to lose the one-dayers 4-0.
