  • World number one Novak Djokovic became the first player in the Open Era to reach 14 successive finals in a single season on Saturday, (7th November), following a 6-3, 3-6, 6-0 victory over Stanislas Wawrinka in the semi-finals of the Paris Masters. He'll play Andy Murray who beat David Ferrer.

Andy Murray took on David Ferrer in the Paris Masters, looking to reach the final at his ninth time of asking.

And his recent run of good results against the eighth seed continued - he broke twice in the first set before serving out the win 6-4.

Ferrer broke early in the second set for a 3-1 lead, but Murray responded by winning the next five games to wrap up the set 6-3 and the match.

He's seeking his fifth title of the season after a sixth win in the last seven contests between himself and Ferrer.

Standing in his way was either World Number One Novak Djokovic or Stanislas Wawrinka.

Djokovic was quickly out of his blocks against an opponent whose quarter-final win over Rafa Nadal on Friday lasted well into the late hours.

An early break of serve opened up a 3-1 lead in the first set, that the Serb wrapped up 6-3 in 40 minutes.

But Warinka rallied, reeling off five games in a row to level the match and bringing Djokovic's remarkable run of successive sets won to an end at 29.

But the Swiss fourth seed crumbled in the decider - Djokovic closing out the win on his third match point.

He's on course for a third consecutive Paris Masters title and has become the first player in the Open Era to reach 14 successive finals in a single season.
