Warne and Tendulkar ring Wall St bell

Saturday, November 07 2015 by SNTV
  • Indian batting legend Sachin Tendulkar and Australian spinner Shane Warne rang the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange on Friday, becoming the first cricketers to perform the ceremonial activity at the world's largest stock exchange.

Cricket is having a go at making it in the United States. The biggest names of recently retired players will play three matches in New York, Houston and Los Angeles. To ramp up the excitement ahead of Saturday's opener the two captains joined together to ring the bell at the New York Exchange.

Shane Warne's Warriors include the likes of Michael Vaughan, Kumar Sangakara and Allan Donald. Sachin Tendulkar's team are called the Blasters and include Brian Lara, Glenn McGrath and Muttiah Muralitharan.

Those who know about cricket won't be expecting much blasting from the latter but certainly wickets.

Traders on Wall Street are not known for the cricket knowledge but they do know a good investment, I wonder if they feel this one will take off.
