Jaco Van Zyl holds a two-shot lead at the close of the second day (Friday 30th October) at the Montgomerie Maxx Royal in Antalya, Turkey.

Day two of the Montgomerie Maxx Royal - and the par-72 layout continued to be in generous mood.

Matt Fitzpatrick took full advantage - the British Masters champion carded an eye catching round of 63 to shoot up to a tie of 11th on eight-under overall.

Lee Westwood put together a 64 on day one but wasn't able to repeat that as a 71 on Friday left him on nine under par.

Meanwhile, Rory McIlroy continued to be the model of consistency.

A second successive round of 65 by the 26-year-old put him four off the lead at the halfway stage.

There was a tie for second place however as Chris Wood and Richard Bland both sit on 12-under par for the tournament.

Top spot is on the leaderboard is currently occupied by South Africa's Jaco Van Zyl.

His opening round of 61 helped maintain his lead, a second round score of three under means he goes into day three two shots clear at 14 under par.
