  • Sei-young Kim takes a one-shot lead after a very windy second day at the LPGA Blue Bay in Hainan, China on Friday.

    Script:

Low scores were hard to find on Friday during a breezy second round of the LPGA Blue Bay in Hainan, China.

First round leader Xi Yu Lin of China started strongly and led by five shots after completing this birdie on the third, but seven bogeys later the 19-year-old was even par and two shots back after a five-over 77.

American Stacey Lewis is also two back at even par after a 73.

Fellow American Ryan O'Toole made this from the fringe on sixteen to bring her even before finishing with a birdie at eighteen to end the day in a four-way tie for second at one-under after also carding a 73.

Taiwan's Candie Kung shares second at one-under for the tournament after an even-par 72. That included this approach which set up birdie at fourteen.

The third player at one-under is Austin Ernst of the United States. She had the shot of the day with this approach setting up a tap in birdie on thirteen.

Ernst went on to shoot a three-over 75.

The one player who was able to handle the conditions on Friday was Suzann Pettersen, who shot a round best 69 to also leave her one shot back of leader Sei-young Kim.

Kim was able to nose ahead of the field on the final hole when she birdied eighteen for an even-par 72.

That leaves the Korean at two-under and holding a one shot lead heading into Saturday's third round.
