Lobodzinski feeling Sky High after Shanghai Vertical World Circuit win

  • SuggestedLeadIn: Poland's Piotr Lobodzinski and China's Gan Xue won the seventh stage of the 2015 Vertical World Circuit at Shanghai's Two International Finance Centre in China.

    Script: 1,460 steps and 54 floors. Shanghai's Two International Finance Centre was the venue for stage seven of the 2015 Vertical World Circuit.

    And a record attendance of more than 1,400 runners lined up to compete.

    In the women's race, Gan Xue came first in a time of 10 minutes and 10 seconds.

    Poland's Piotr Lobodzinski won the men's race - he climbed his way through to finish in 7 minutes and 54 seconds, a new course record.

    The Polish athlete was happy with his fifth win on the VWC this year.

    SOUNDBITE(English) Piotr Lobodzinski, champion of men's division, 2015 Shanghai Vertical Race:

    "Yes (I am happy), last year, I had 8 minutes and 9 seconds and today I am 15 seconds faster and made the new course record, 7.54 minutes."

    This title also means that Lobodzinski has already won the circuit before final race in Hong Kong in December.
