Jessica Korda of the United States won the LPGA Malaysia by four strokes on Sunday (11th October).

    Script:

Jessica Korda was the overnight leader going into the final round of the LPGA Malaysia in Kuala Lumpur on Sunday.

Morgan Pressel of the USA played the shot of the day - a hole-in-one at the par-three 17th - but she finished 25th at five-under-par on the day.

World number two Lydia Ko, world number three Stacy Lewis and defending champion Shanshan Feng finished in a three-way tie for second place at 14-under par 270.

The 18-year-old New Zealander, Ko, finished with a round of five-under 66.

She is now 305 points ahead of world number one Inbee Park in the Race to CME Globe.

Chinese star Feng also had a 66 on Sunday, while American Lewis shot a 67 - they all tied for second.

Fellow American Korda was without top-ten finishes in 18 events in 2015 after finishing in a tie for second at the season opener.

But the 22 year-old opened with rounds of 69, 67 and 65 in Kuala Lumpur to take a two-stroke lead into the final round.

It turned out to be a nearly flawless day for Korda as soon as she started with this birdie on the fourth, before making four birdies at the front nine.

Despite dropping a stroke on the 11th, she clinched victory with birdies on the 15th and 17th.

    She won with a six-under-par 65, 18-under 266 overall.
