On the day that FIFA president Sepp Blatter was banned from footballing activities by the FIFA ethics committee, FIFA presidential candidate Prince Ali bin Hussein enjoyed a far less stressful day.

He was in the stands to see his national team Jordan take on defending Asian Cup champions Australia in a World Cup qualifier.

After a goalless first half, Jordan were awarded a penalty early on in the second, following a foul by Matthew Spiranovic on Al Dardour.

Hassan Abdel-Fattah duly converted - much to the delight of Prince Ali and the rest of the home crowd.

Al Dardour then doubled the Jordanians' lead six minutes from time to send the crowd into a frenzy.

The result ends Australia's 100 percent record in qualification and means the Socceroos sit second in the group having won three and lost one of the games so far.

Jordan top the group with three wins and a draw after four games played.
