SOUNDBITE: (English) Paul O'Connell, Ireland captain:

"There's so much quality now in the rest of the competition. We play France, if you turn over the ball to them, with the forward carriers they have, with the backs they have, you'll be in big trouble. That's something we haven't done when we've won big games, when we've performed well in the autumn internationals or performed well in the Six Nations. We've been very good at denying teams access by our good setpiece, by our discipline, by our accuracy with the ball and we'll need to do that again next weekend."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Paul O'Connell, Ireland captain:

"Any Irish team that goes up against a French team, it's always a massive challenge for us and I think in recent years we've done well. I think the games have been really really tight in recent years and, for us, we have had to produce massive massive performances to make those games tight. I think we've had two draws in the last four years and we've managed to win two but they've only been very short one-score games. So for us it's a mountain of a challenge. We knew how tough this game was going to be all the time, we knew it was going to down...we were hopeful it was going to come down to this game in the last round of the pool stages and, hopefully, we can produce now a big performance next weekend."
