SOUNDBITE: (English) Ian Ritchie, RFU Chief Executive officer:
" We all share a sense of deep disappointment. And there is non other way on looking at it. Deep disappointment obviously within the union, within the team, I know within the players, and with all the fans and supporters that have been so much behind the team. We recognise that, we understand it and we share that deep disappointment. What we then we've got to do is to look at what happens next, and the first thing what happens next is, there is a game next week against Uruguay. We need to focus on that; we are very clear that we have this responsibility within the tournament. We also have a situation were we need for the fans as well to put our best step forward, to do our best in this game."
"It's a time for calm, rational, considerate reflection about what could we learn, how we could move forward, what we need to do to improve; all of those things. And we only will need to do that an a calm, considerate and rational manner. I thing it's very important as well for our objectives to continuing to be the hosts of what it's being a fantastic world cup. And to be a host for a global event is very important and we will continue to deal with that and recognising as a say, we obviously look, learn and consider what to do next. "
