  • Agnieszka Radwanska defeated Belinda Bencic in straight sets 6-2, 6-2 to win the Pan Pacific Open in Tokyo on Sunday (27th September).

Script: Anieszka Radwanksa knows what it takes to win the Pan Pacific Open.

But the Pole went into the final in Tokyo against Belinda Bencic without a title win since taking the Rogers Cup in Montreal last year.

The Swiss teenager beat Radwanksa in this year's Eastborne final.

But the seventh seed looked like avenging that defeat when took the first set 6-2.

Despite being on the backfoot in the second, Bencic tried to fight back, winning breakpoint at 4-0 down.

But Radwanska's experience showed as she took the second set by the same score as the first for a 6-2, 6-2 victory.

Radwanska also took the Pan-Pacific title in 2011, and is the first player to have won the event twice since it moved outdoors, and on to a hard court, in 2008.

She also moves from 13th to eighth in the world rankings with her 15th WTA Tour title of her career.
