Australia wicketkeeper Brad Haddin announces his retirement from Test and domestic first-class cricket.

"I'd just like today to announce my retirement from Test cricket and first-class cricket with New South Wales. I've thoroughly enjoyed my 17 years here and I'm perfectly comfortable with the decision I'm making today. I came here as a young boy from New South Wales country, really only looking for an opportunity to play at the SCG (Sydney Cricket Ground) in a game for New South Wales. So to finish here today, yeah I'm very proud of what I've achieved and, you know, I've enjoyed and been privileged to do what I have.

"This is going to hurt a bit because I've got to thank the England coach. But there's been two pretty constants since I've started with Steve Rixon (Australian cricket fielding coach) and Trevor Bayliss (England coach). They've been a constant in my career, so I don't want to spend too much time on them because, one - Trevor's England coach now and after what he did to us (England won back the Ashes in 2015 with a 3-2 series win) I don't want to talk too much about him... Trevor and Steve have been there from day one.

"I think I came to the realisation... probably after Lord's, I lost that fight to continue... I was always about trying to make myself the best cricketer I could be every time I walked out on the training paddock... and I probably lost that hunger from there (Lord's). So to finish today is an easy decision to be honest."
