Script: SOUNDBITE: (English) Serena Williams, defeated Kiki Bertens 7-6 (5), 6-3:

"I don't know. I mean, today, for instance, I just said, One point at a time. Like I said, when I get down, I tend to get really relaxed and I start to play a little better. But, yeah, taking it one moment at a time for me."

    Q. How has that evolved, or have you always had that ability?

"I've always made some legendary comebacks since 1998 when it first started, '98. So that's kind of just been my MO for my whole career."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Serena Williams, defeated Kiki Bertens 7-6 (5), 6-3:

"I definitely feel more determined to do better than what I did. I know I can play better, so... Yeah, it definitely wasn't my happiest of moments. You know, I don't think you should be happy with just winning. At least I'm not. Maybe other people can. Always looking to do better. You know, if I don't play well, I'm not going to be happy even if I won."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Bethanie Mattek-Sands, defeated Coco Vandeweghe 6-2, 6-1:

"You know what? She's playing great. I mean, right now she's on a mission to get a record, and I'm here playing my game. I think it's going to be a battle out there. I'm going to do my best. Right now I'm giving myself the best chance I can to play well. That's all I can ask for."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Eugenie Bouchard, defeated Polona Hercog 6-3, 6(2), 7, 6-3, (on recording two straight wins):

"I know. It's like a huge deal. Just confident that I believed in myself in the third. Even when things got tough, I kept the confidence up and the belief. Tried to keep myself going energy-wise. Those are all things that I think helped today. Those are all things that I didn't do so well in past matches where I've lost. As long as I'm taking a step in the right direction I'm happy with that and I can't ask for more."
