Script:
Defending champion, David Horsey put himself in a good position after the opening round of the Russian Open.
In overcast and chilly conditions, The 30-year-old Englishman carded a four-under-par 67 at the new Skolkovo Golf Club in Moscow.
Horsey is one of eight men tied for fifth, two shots off the lead.
One shot better off are Lee Slattery of England, and Welshman Bradley Dredge.
Both coming home five under par and just one shot back.
Out in front then - Daniel Gaunt and Scott Jamieson.
One of the earliest starts, Gaunt got off to a flyer, four birdies before this chip-in for eagle at the 12th which moved him to six under at that point.
But a double-bogey at the 15th spoiled what could have been a sensational round.
Still very impressive though - the Australian carding a 65.
Starting his round at the tenth tee, Jamieson carded six birdies - including four in a row at the beginning of his back nine - on his way to a flawless 65.
