"In a very good place, we are in a very good place. When we lost the first (warm-up) game against Ireland, I don't think anyone panicked too much because we did a lot of physical preparation until then and I remember Warren (Gatland, coach) saying from four years ago that we probably go into that game a little bit undercooked from a rugby point of view, where other teams might have done a lot of rugby but we knew in that next three-week gap then that could improve a heck of a lot because we do a lot more rugby focus. That was the case this time around. The last three weeks we've had, we've still had a big emphasis on doing a lot of fitness and integrating that into our team training sessions but we've had a l,ot of rugby under pressure when we've gone 15 on 15 against each other, the Ospreys came in and we had a really good conditioning session against the Ospreys and they tested us out. And it's good for those boys to go through that rather than have a baptism of fire against Ireland away from home where you haven't experienced that sort of pressure. You can try and replicate it but it's hard unless you actually go 15 on 15. So the preparations we've had in the last three weeks have been brilliant, credit to the coaches, they've prepared the team really well for the game against Ireland which is why I think we came out on top then."

SOUNDBITE (English) Sam Warburton, Wales captain:

"Obviously it's a much tougher group than we had, no disrespect to the teams we played four years ago but it's an incredibly tough group this time round. And it is hard to look further than the group stages. It's going to take probably as much effort to get to the semis, to get out of the group sorry, than it did to get to the semis four years ago. Obviously once you get out of your group then I think all bets are off once you get to the quarters and semis. So the focus for us, you know it would be disrespectful to look past the group when you've got sides like Fiji, Australia and England. But that's three absolutely massive matches to get over so get out of the groupand all bets are off then"
