Southampton manager Ronald Koeman and Norwich City boss Alex Neil speak after Southampton won their English Premier League match 3-0 on Sunday (30th August).
SOUNDBITE (English) Ronald Koeman, Southampton manager:
"First of all, it was important to show really the team spirit and of course if you show that, you show your qualities. At home you have always chances to win the game and important today was how we start the game. I think very aggressive, good football, some good chances and of course the sending-off has a certain impact in the game. But before already we were the dominant team, the best chances and (it was) important at 1-0 before half-time - it makes it easier in the second half."
SOUNDBITE (English) Ronald Koeman, Southampton manager (on the reasons he left midfielder Victor Wanyama out of the team):
"The situation with Victor is that he has lost some focus to the team and to the club and that was the reason that I took, finally to keep him out of the squad for today."
SOUNDBITE (English) Ronald Koeman, Southampton manager (on player sales)
"Nobody is for sale. And that's an easy answer and the players have to accept that."
SOUNDBITE (English) Alex Neil, Norwich City manager, (on Steven Whittaker's sending-off):
"To be fair, it was tough to see it where I was. I think he's tried to tug him back which I think is a silly decision, particularly the fact that I don't felt he needed to. I felt the ball was running through to John Ruddy (Norwich goalkeeper). I think some of them ones, particularly if it's not influencing the game, sometimes they get let go but Steven made the wrong decision and got his sending-off.
SOUNDBITE (English) Alex Neil, Norwich City manager
"I've got no complaints because I didn't think we deserved anything."
