Reaction after Stoke City sank to a 1-0 home defeat to West Bromwich Albion on Saturday (29 August) in a match that saw Stoke have two men sent off in the space of six first-half minutes on ex-Potters boss Tony Pulis' maiden return to the Britannia Stadium.

Thankfully that is what they did by virtue of the efforts of my team. If they hadn't stuck at it and hadn't shown great desire and drive and fitness levels...if they hadn't have showed all that then we would have gone under very very quickly but we were still very much in the game right up until the last minute. So I am really proud of what they produced under difficult circumstances."
