Earlier in the day Belgian youngster Thomas Pieters had signed for 68 to claim the early clubhouse lead and currently sits one shot off the pace on 10-under.

Thorbjorn Olesen, Sam Hutsby and Robert Dinwiddie are tied for fourth on eight-under, while Eddie Pepperell and Michael Hoey are all a further stroke behind.

However Matthew Fitzpatrick and Pelle Edberg seen here share the lead at the halfway stage

The pair opened with 66s and again fired matching scores on Friday with a pair of 67s getting them to 11-under - Edberg managed six birdies and a single dropped shot in his second round
