SOUNDBITE (Italian) Stefano Pioli, Lazio head coach:

"We know that Bayer Leverkusen are an excellent team. They play a very intense and direct style of football. They confirmed these characteristics in the first two games of the Bundesliga season, playing well and deserving to win, against Hannover they certainly deserved to win. I think they could have scored more than they did and against us in Rome, they demonstrated that this is the kind of team they are. We also have our own identity and mentality, if we are in this position it is because we have played in a certain manner, and it's what we want to and have to do tomorrow evening."

SOUNDBITE (Italian) Stefano Pioli, Lazio head coach:

"Essentially we only played the first half of our match, we still have to play the second half. We are absolutely aware of the fact that we have not achieved qualification and we still need to work a lot in order to reach our goal. Just like we did in the first match, we will need to be focused throughout the 95 minutes of the match, in a determined and concentrated way. We will need to play the way we know how, which is to say we want to attack, to create problems for our opponent. We know it will most likely be another open game, another hard fought game, and one where we will need to fight on every single ball."
