Serena Williams, Roger Federer, Maria Sharapova, Rafael Nadal, Pete Sampras and Andre Agassi were among past and present players to paticipate in the Nike "NYC Street Tennis" event commemorating the 20th anniversary of the Nike street tennis advertisement on Monday (24th August).

To celebrate the upcoming US Open in New York, Nike put a twist on its infamous Nike Street Tennis ad featuring Andre Agassi and Pete Sampras by hosting "NYC Street Tennis".

The recreation of the iconic spot brought together Tennis stars from the past, present and future.

The event featured Serena Williams, Roger Federer, Maria Sharapova, Rafael Nadal, Andre Agassi, Pete Sampras, John McEnroe, Nick Kyrgios, Genie Bouchard, Madison Keys, and Grigor Dimitrov.

As part of the event, Nike+ members had the opportunity to sign up and play on a pop-up tennis court with some of the biggest names in the sport.

The 135th US Open tournament begins on August 31st.
