Script: Ajax enjoyed a 2-0 success away at newly promoted Nijmegen in the Dutch Eredivisie on Sunday.

The pressure was on for Nijmegen from as early as the fourth minute. Jairo Riedewald picked out Davy Klaassen on the right, but goalkeeper Hannes Halldorsson cut down the angle and turned the shot around for a corner.

Ajax came close again almost 20 minutes later. Arkadiusz Milik's shot was initially blocked by Halldorsson, but it rebounded straight back to the Pole! However, his resulting shot hit the post and deflected off Todd Kane's head, and the home fans could breathe a sigh of relief.

The visitors finally broke the deadlock right after the break, when Lasse Schone set up Milik and the Poland international lashed the ball into the net.

Ajax continued to dominate, but it took until four minutes from the end and a spell of misfortune from the home team before they sealed victory. Daley Sinkgraven's cross was turned into his own net by Rens van Eijden.

It ended 2-0 and Ajax continue their ideal start to the season - playing three, winning three, and conceding none.
