England's David Horsey held on for a two-shot victory at the Made in Denmark tournament on Sunday (23rd August), after the rest of the field failed to rein in the overnight leader.

    Script:

England's David Horsey won the Made in Denmark tournament by two strokes on Sunday, despite a surge up the leaderboard from Sweden's Kristoffer Broberg.

The Cheshire golfer, who took a one-shot lead into the final day, shot three bogeys and one birdie in his final round 73. And despite being two-over par for the day, it was still enough for him to win the title.

Broberg climbed 50 places up the standings to finish in a tie for second place with 11-under-par after firing nine birdies in his final round.

It meant he carded 62 - but the Swede fell just short of overhauling Horsey, who clung on for a 13-under-par total.

Home favourite Soren Kjedsen joined Broberg with a share of second, along with Australia's Daniel Gaunt and Terry Pilkadaris.

And Scotland's Paul Lawrie finished in a four-way tie for sixth place on 10-under, alongside Wales's Bradley Dredge, Denmark's Mads Sogaard and Australia's Richard Green.
