"I came in to today knowing that it was going to be a tough day and it's a slightly weaker day for me. So I kind of thought I might lose some points. But I can't believe that I have come away with a gold medal. It's incredible."
SOUNDBITE (English) Jessica Ennis-Hill, heptathlon winner:
"I think, my long jump, I was really happy with that. So that was a really good jump and I think I am making progress with that event which is good. The javelin was ok. Everything has just been kind of solid and round about good performances so if I can go away and work on everything and come back a bit stronger next year."
SOUNDBITE (English) Jessica Ennis-Hill, heptathlon winner:
"It's so nice to know that my son has been a part of this and we will have these memories to look back on when he is older. I will bore him to death showing him the re-runs of this for the rest of his life. It's an amazing feeling and Andy (her husband) has been a huge support. He is at home looking after Reggie and doing an amazing job. So I am a lucky girl."
SOUNDBITE (English) Jessica Ennis-Hill, heptathlon winner (on Johnson-Thompson):
"My heart sunk for her. It's just an awful moment. I know that we are rivals and we want to better each other but it was a horrible moment and I hate to see that happen to her. But she is strong and she has got time on her side and hopefully she can come back and win a medal in the long jump."
