Script: SOUNDBITE: (English) Wilson Kipsang, Kenya:

(on the hot and humid weather in Beijing).

"Everybody is a threat because we have guys who can run very well in hot conditions, we have guys who can run in cold conditions. So you never know who have prepared the most for this race. So I think for someone like me, we are not just keep on watching Dennis (Kimetto) only. Just to make sure that I run in a way that can ensure, or that can give me a win. Because I have to watch the other guys, the guys from all over the world, who have been running well in hot conditions. I have to make sure that I keep a close watch, because this (race) and everybody wants to go, run for himself. But we shall run as a team, to make sure maybe we score as a Kenya team. But also for individual team title. So I think it is more of a tactical race, than a time race."

    SOUNDBITE: (English) Wilson Kipsang, Kenya:

    (on the pollution in Beijing).

"I think it (the air in Beijing) is somehow polluted but when it comes to such a competition, you find that we have nothing to do. You have do run with the conditions that is available, whether that is hot, whether the air is polluted. Because it is part of the competition. So I think I have no problem with that."

    SOUNDBITE: (English) Wilson Kipsang, Kenya:

(on whether doping allegations facing the sport are affecting his preparations).

"I think the issue of doping really came to our event. It didn't affected us so much. Because the team is preparing and fully focus for the World Championships. It didn't affect us so much. According to the report, you find that IAAF said that they are going to open up investigations. And they are going going to release a report on that. So as an athlete you find that we have nothing much to say because I was just here to train and prepare for my race. And those athletes who has been selected you find that it doesn't affect us so much because it was none of the athletes was named."
