Intro:
Shane Lowry of Ireland claims the biggest win of his career with a two-shot victory at the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational in Ohio.
Script:
Ireland's Shane Lowry captured his first title in the US with a two-shot win in the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational.
The world number 48 began the final day in third, two shots behind co-leaders Justin Rose and Jim Furyk.
But as they both shot over par, Lowry carded four birdies in a 66 to finish on 10 under.
The 28-year-old won the Irish Open as an amateur in 2009 and earns a three-year exemption on the PGA Tour for his victory in the co-sanctioned event.
Lowry becomes the first non-PGA Tour member to win a WGC since Martin Kaymer in 2011.
In second spot was Bubba Watson; the American shooting a 66.
England's Rose posted a 72 and was four shots adrift with American Furyk in joint third.
