International Olympic Committee to wait for WADA inquiry before taking action on the alleged doping test controversy, said IOC president Thomas Bach in Kuala Lumpur on Monday (3 August).

    Script:

"We have allegations and we have an ongoing inquiry by WADA (World Anti-Doping Agency). We have to wait what is the outcome there, and before we do not have any result, in this, any solid foundation. We have to respect the presumption of innocence and we have to respect the rights of the athletes."

"They're doing the water test, it's up to the Brazilian authorities. They have done and we have been informed by them that they have done this test in accordance with the guidelines of the World Health Organisation, WHO. And that they have the assurance from the World Health Organisation that there is no significant risk for the athletes. But of course, we'll continue to monitor this until and including the Olympic competitions."
