Monday, August 03 2015 by SNTV
  • Intro:

International Olympic Committee (IOC) to follow expert advise on World Health Organisation recommendation to test Rio de Janeiro's waterways ahead of next year's Summer Olympics.

    Script:

SOUNDBITE: (English) Richard Budgett, IOC Medical Director,

"I suppose maybe they want more information, they may turn around and change it again but we have to follow the best expert advise we have".

SOUNDBITE: (English) Prince Albert, IOC Member,

" Well. I'm not on the coordination commission for Rio. And I don't know how much of that issue was brought to the forefront in the earlier discussions. But it should have been identified before, really cannot answer why it wasn't identified before. But now that it is, we have to find the best solution to go forward".
