Jari-Matti Latvala leads the way on his home rally in Finland.

Home favourite Jari-Matti Latvala held the overnight lead in Finland going into the second full day of racing.

The VW driver started the day 2.1 seconds ahead of his team mate Sebastien Ogier and stretched that advantage to six seconds after a stunning drive on the SS11 Mokkipera test.

But Ogier wasted no time in launching an attack of his own as he set the top time in stage twelve, benefitting from slightly better grip on damper roads.

By the end of stage thirteen the gap was back down to two seconds - Latvala having little room for error.

Kris Meeke remains in third place - his position not helped by a ten second time penalty late on Friday.

The Northern Irishman though remains well clear of his Ford team mate Mads Ostberg in fourth.

The two Hyundai cars are further back in fifth and sixth place with Thierry Neuville being chased by his team mate Dani Sordo.
