Reaction from Wales' Amy Boulden and Marian McBride of Sweden who scored low despite difficult conditions at Turnberry, Scotland on Saturday (1 August).

McBride went 11-under through the last 42 holes to come back from a first round of 7-over.

Boulden has never made cut at the Women's British Open.

"Yeah. I think coming off the back of a good week last week at the Scottish - I would say I am definitely used to playing links golf and playing a bit of bad weather."

"Yes. This is my fifth Open Championship and it's the first time that I have made the cut so I am just happy to have made the weekend (laughs)"

"Obviously it has been a great couple of days for sure. You never know with this game of golf what is going to happen and what you are going to get when you step on the first tee. The first day was obviously not great but yesterday I really fought hard and I knew that if I could put a decent score on the board then I would be able to make the cut. I just kept on going and grinding and I shot a great score yesterday."

"That's the thing with this game and that's what makes it fun I think. It makes it very frustrating sometimes but it makes it fun and I am really looking forward to tomorrow. I love this course and I think I have a great strategy around this course. So hopefully I can go out tomorrow and shoot a good score."
