Women's British Open: 'weather nightmarish'

Saturday, August 01 2015 by SNTV
  • Reaction from the early round two finishers at the Women's British Open as Suzann Pettersen takes the clubhouse lead with seven-under and Inbee Park is two-under.

SOUNDBITE: (English) Suzann Pettersen, 7-under: (On the conditions)

"Yesterday it felt like once you got through 14, it was kind of - not easy - but very birdie-able. Today they are a nightmare. It was a completely different golf course today. The first four holes are probably playing fractionally easier but it's very tough and I feel like I pulled off every shot I was standing over today. I was very control of the ball in the spins so. I am very happy."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Suzann Pettersen, 7-under: (On getting a good score in before the weather turns)

"Knowing that the forecast is supposed to pick up and maybe some rain getting in. It's very nice to have a 6.50 tee time. I feel like I did my part. And now I can go and relax."

    SOUNDBITE (English) Inbee Park, 2-under:

"One over par, just the score itself is not that bad of a score, but the overall play of mine and my expectations it wasn't the greatest round. I know it was tough, every body was having a tough time, but I just made too many mistakes."
