Beijing has 'some of the world's best snow', according to the Beijing 2022 Olympics bid committee's deputy media director Xu Jicheng. The vote to decide whether Almaty in Kazakhstan or the capital of China will host the tournament takes place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on Friday.

"Who knows, we couldn't order the snow, it's the mother of the God. And one thing that I need to point out is that Chongli is one of the earliest resorts for snowfall in Asia, or rather in east Asia as the snow fall starts in the end of October. That's why the skiers from Japan, Korea and even Russia to start their season training in Chongli. In the last year, we had more than 600 skiers from the three countries and other countries, to start their training over there. The snow there is one of the best in the world, quality (wise)."
