"It was really unfortunate that I had to pull out of Ohio and not play Michigan. I just think for those two weeks to let everything calm down and let everything settle in .The hip is feeling a lot better. It's just something that I wish it was off-season and I had more time. I never wanted to miss this tournament. I am here and I wanted to play. We'll see when we get done with this week what the future plans are. We are just going to take it day by day. My doctor said that it might feel better all of a sudden one day. So I am really hoping for that."
SOUNDBITE (English) Lydia Ko, World number two
"It's part of it. When you come and you play the British Open you kind of expect all of these elements. You are not going to get a dead sunny day with no wind and you might you just never know. But it's great and it's all part of it and it's going to be fun. Obviously it is going to be tough to play in all of those conditions. But I am going to try and have fun out there."
