  • Intro:

Reaction from Christine Ohuruogu, Zharnel Hughes, Tiffany Porter and Jessica Ennis-Hill after the first evening's action in the latest round of the IAAF Diamond League in London on Friday (July 24th).

    Script:

"Beijing is on. That's not an issue. It's a challenge but that's how it is. You can pick and choose what situations (you want to race in) and which ones you don't. This is one that I have to do. I have to turn up in Beijing. I took out a bit of time (this season) because of injury. I told everyone I had a sabbatical. It wasn't really that, I've been injured. But it happens and the point is that it happens. Unfortunately it's not always going to be about headlines and pretty stories all the time. Real life is here on the track and sometimes it goes brilliantly and sometimes you have to do a bit more work.

"Definitely. The crowd are satisfied. I'm satisfied. I got a new PB. I got the win and I got extra points for the Diamond League. So yes, it was spectacular."

"I go into every race looking to win. I have about five weeks to prepare (for Beijing) I'm really encouraged. I'm really enthusiastic. I'm fit and healthy and I think that really big things are in store."

"Yes it was an incredible line-up and when I saw the line-up before I came to the stadium I thought 'Wow. This is going to be incredibly tough and I'm not quite where I need to be.' So I had a bit of worry and anxiety but it was just incredible to run with those girls. They're fast and they drag you to great times.
