Norway's Suzann Pettersen holds a two-shot lead at the halfway stage of the Ladies Scottish Open at the Dundonald Links, Troon in Scotland on Saturday (July 25th).

Suzann Pettersen of Norway was never flustered by the breezy conditions as she shot a two under par 70 and took the lead after two rounds of the Ladies Scottish Open at Troon.

The world number seven went out early having finished tied for the lead with New Zealand's Lydia Ko after the first round.

She forged ahead after two birdies on the outward nine holes and a level par on the inward nine - ending the day on six under par.

Ko however slumped to a 73 - the world number two from New Zealand struggled after back-to-back bogeys on holes 12 and 13.

But the 18 year-old is still only three shots off the lead going into the third round on Sunday.

One of the big moves of the day came from England's Holly Clyburn who collected five birdies with no dropped shots in an impressive 67 to move up to second place, two shots behind Pettersen.

Laura Davies, champion of this event 21 years ago, is also in contention with a second successive 71 to leave her on two under par.

The Englishwoman is level with France's Celine Herbin who slipped back after her first round 69 - she could only manage a 73 in round two.

The European Order of Merit winner Charley Hull put herself on the fringes of contention, six shots back with two rounds left to play.

Hull put the disappointment of a first round 76 behind her by shooting five birdies in a 68 which leaves her on level par.
