Tuesday, July 21 2015 by SNTV
  • Intro:

Reaction from a jovial Darren Lehmann, the Australia coach, after his team dealt England a humiliating Ashes defeat in the second Test at Lord's on Sunday (19th July), winning by 405 runs to level the five-match series at 1-1.

    Script:

SOUNDBITE: (English) Darren Lehmann, Australia coach (on the preparations for the third Test at Edgbaston):

"God, that's a long way off....Edgbaston, we're just getting through today at the moment mate, with a few beers. What are we going to do? Yeah, sponsored beers, of course. For us, we'll go to Derby - and some of the guys will stay back - we'll update you as soon as we select that and work out who goes to Derby. At the end of the day, we'll meet at Edgbaston and get prepared as we normally would for any Test match, whether home or abroad. The break is good for both sides, I would imagine, when you've had back-to-back Test matches, you know, albeit they've only been four days. It's nice to have a relaxing week in a friendly county atmosphere, so it'll be good for us."
