"Golf is so different to tennis, and I really enjoyed my tennis this year, watching Federer and Djokovic and all the fellas play, but I couldn't help thinking, you know, isn't it wonderful... when in tennis, you can take five people and say, 'These five people are going to be in the semi-finals or the finals' and you'd be right 95 per cent of the time. In golf, there are 150 people who tee off and I don't play. If I'm playing you in the final at Wimbledon, if it's raining, it's the same. Windy, it's the same. Cold, the same. Hot, the same. In golf, some of the guys go out in perfect conditions, others play in appalling conditions and it's really... you've got to be lucky."

"To me, nobody has a better chance to be as good as Tiger as Rory and Spieth and Jason Day and all these people can do it. And as far as Tiger's concerned, everybody is quick to give advice when a man's down. I don't expect him at all to accept my offer, but I do know one thing. I'd give him a hell of a lot better advice than he's being given the last two or three years. For me, it's very sad to see this icon, this incredible athlete, incredible golfer, on his way to breaking every record that ever existed, smashing them, and then all of a sudden he gets lessons from four or five people, confused, plus his other problems, it's not something that cannot be cured. He needs what I call... I don't know what the word is... a restart. He's got to restart. And it's not too late."
