SOUNDBITE (English) Ben Stokes, England all rounder:(On England's hopes moving forward in this test)

"We spoke briefly in the change rooms at the end of the game to get our heads around that we're probably going to have to bat 150 overs to try and save the game. If ever there was a wicket to try and do it on it was this one because there's no real demons in it and there's not too much pace and not too much turn. If ever there was a wicket to do it on it was this one."

SOUNDBITE (English) Ben Stokes, England all rounder:(On how England will need to approach the second innings)

"The way you start an innings is probably the biggest and most crucial thing. We're just going to have to get our head around to bat time. If we can do that hopefully Alastair (Cook) and Adam (Lyth) can get us off to a good start and then we can back up the top order if we get off to a good one. Because as a batting unit we're going to have to do a good job because the bowlers this innings have tried their nuts off. It's pretty much over to the batters for the next two days."

SOUNDBITE (English) Mitchell Marsh, Australian news conference:(On Australia's position heading into day four)

"Hopefully it doesn't rain. I haven't looked at any forecasts. We've got ourselves in a great position now to really drive the game these last two days. Hopefully we can bat well tomorrow and really put England under some pressure tomorrow afternoon and on day five."

SOUNDBITE (English) Mitchell Marsh, Australian news conference:(On being dropped from the World Cup squad this year for Shane Watson who he has now replaced in the test squad)

"It was obviously very tough at the time to be left out of the World Cup, but at the end of the day if I'm being honest it was probably the right decision to go with Shane (Watson) with all his experience in one day cricket. At the end of the day I've got a medal around my neck and that's all that mattered. I was a part of that 15 as much as anyone else in that team, that's what it felt like anyway. I thought the right decision was made throughout the World Cup."

SOUNDBITE (English) Mitchell Marsh, Australian news conference:(On taking the important wickets of Ben Stokes and Alistair cook)

"It was a nice feeling. My role I just want to contribute to the team whenever I can. To get those two wickets it was great for my confidence, but at the same time it was a really important time for the team so it was really good."
