SOUNDBITE: (English) England captain Alastair Cook (about Moeen Ali's fitness)

"He's pretty good to be honest with you. I will make a final call tomorrow. But it was more precautionary yesterday. He felt his side a tiny bit after the last game and, with his previous history, the medical team were wrapping him in cotton wool but he should be fine."

Q: Is this a recurrence of what he suffered in the last few months?

A: "I don't think it's the same injury. Calling it an injury is a bit of a...do you know what I mean? It's like always when you've got two games back to back, you're a little bit careful with training. But unless he gets a reaction overnight I expect him to be in our team tomorrow."

SOUNDBITE: (English) England captain Alastair Cook

"Well (winning the first Test) is a good start but as I have just spoken to the lads there it's all about looking forward to this week. Cardiff's gone now. We can't sit back and protect anything. We have to try and get on the front foot as we did in that Test match. We earned the right to do it. Joe Root played a fantastic innings to help us get to 430. We didn't really look back there and bowled really well with the ball and took our catches. We played pretty good cricket. One out of one is pretty good. The challenge is can we do it again here. The last three times we haven't managed to do that, in the last three Test series so this is the challenge ahead now."
