Possible replacement, Peter Siddle, said that Australia's Mitchell Starc is set to be fit for the second Ashes Test against England at Lord's and reponded to claims by England fast bowler James Anderson that Australia turned down the offer of a post-match dressing-room beer following the first Test

    SOUNDBITE: (English) Peter Siddle, Australia:

    (about Mitchell Starc)

"I don't know anything different at the moment. He's fine. Just had an easy day today which happens.... it's been a long few months already that we've been away. I wouldn't be surprised if he'd be out there, for sure, on the weekend."

    SOUNDBITE: (English) Peter Siddle, Australia:

    (about wicketkeeper Peter Nevill)

"His record back home speaks for itself. He's had a couple of great years in first class cricket. I played a lot with him as a youngster, being a Victorian boy. He moved away to get an opportunity and he has obviously taken that. So no doubt if it's this Test or in the future, he gets his opportunity, I've got no doubt he'll be ready to go."

    10. 02:02 SOUNDBITE: (English) Peter Siddle, Australia:

"What we've been key at, no matter if the wickets have been fast or bouncy or whatever the wickets we've played on over the last couple of years, we've been been very consistent with our lines and lengths. That's something we've spoken about over the last couple of days. We weren't anywhere near where we normally are. Our normal high standards weren't reached in that Test match (at Cardiff) and that showed on the scoreboard. So that's something we've got to address and no doubt we will coming into this match. The boys are upbeat, they're ready to go and they want to turn things around. I can see a different contest out there this week."

    SOUNDBITE: (English) Peter Siddle, Australia:

(about claims by England fast bowler James Anderson that Australia turned down the offer of a post-match dressing-room beer following the first Test)

"It's my fifth Ashes series and it's the first time anyone's ever gone to have a drink after one Test match. So it's a little bit of an interesting story, especially from Jimmy considering out at the Oval last time we had a drink he goes, 'I don't know why we do this, I cant stand it'. Interesting comments, but you know what Jimmy's like."
