    SOUNDBITE (English) Paula Creamer:

"It's a fun week. It's hard. It's mentally draining and I like that. I like being able to have tough times out there but realise that you can still keep moving up the board with pars and just that challenge."

    SOUNDBITE (English) Cristie Kerr:

"It's playing long, because it's a little soft from the rain. I actually like that. I don't really particularly like a golf course which is so short and too easy. I think that this is a great golf course for a U.S. Open."

    SOUNDBITE: (English) Inbee Park:

"When I come to major championships, I work extra hard and I try to look at the course a little bit better, but... I don't know what, just I like the atmosphere. I like the little bit extra pressure, you know, when we start the game. And obviously having good results helps, that gives me a lot of confidence going into other major championships, thinking that yeah, I've done good on major championships so I can do well in another good one, so..."

    SOUNDBITE (English) Lydia Ko:

"In front of the home crowd, being the world No. 1, that was a special moment for me. But obviously it does motivate me to play better, be a little bit more consistent. But when the other girls are playing great and I feel like I'm still playing good but Inbee (Park) is playing better, then I can't do much about it."
