With just two days to go to the start of the Ashes series, Alastair Cook's England and Michael Clarke's Australia met with the Prince of Wales at Cardiff's Swalec Stadium on Monday.

The prince first shook hands with Clarke and was then presented to the rest of the squad, sharing jokes with wicket-keeper Peter Nevill and all-rounder Shane Watson, before receiving an Australian team shirt.

The Prince moved on to chat with Cook as well as Jimmy Anderson, Jos Buttler and England women's captain Charlotte Edwards.

After the first Test in cardiff, the two teams will play the second Test at Lord's in London, with Edgbaston in Birmingham, Trent Bridge in Nottingham and The Oval back in London completing the itinerary.

Australia currently hold the Ashes urn, after thrashing England 5-0 in Australia in the 2013-14 Australian summer.
