Sebastien Ogier claimed his fifth victory of the 2015 WRC season on Sunday in the 72nd Rally Poland.

The French Volkswagen driver strengthened his grip on a potential third title after winning both stages on the final day.

He triumphed by a margin of 11.9 seconds over his teammate, norweigian driver Andreas Mikkelsen.

His second place on the podium made it a particularly succesful day for Volkswagen as they secured a one-two finish.

The podium was completed by Estonian driver Ott Tanak in his Ford Fiesta, it proved to be his first podium finish of the season for Ford.

Jari-Matti Latvala of Finland ended the rally in fifth after damaging his radiator following a collision with some trees.

That allowed Australian driver Hayden Paddon to take advantage and secure fourth place in the standings.

Meanwhile Ogier's success in Poland sees him open up a commanding lead in the driver's standings as he moves to 161 points overall.

His nearest rival is Mikkelson on 83, while Mads Ostberg lies third with 69 points.

The next rally in the calendar is not due to take place until August in Finland.
